Patient Perspectives to Employer Strategies: Crafting a Comprehensive Approach to Cancer Care

As global cancer incidence rates rise, signaling a higher risk of diagnosis within the workforce, it is increasingly crucial for employers to understand the complexities and challenges their employees may encounter during their care journeys. When the average wait time to start treatment with a doctor after an abnormal screening result is 70 days, it can be difficult and frustrating for employees to navigate coverage, manage treatment costs, and get to medical appointments. And while abnormal screening results don’t always mean cancer, the complicated journey of interpreting results can lead to duplicative or missed care, as well as a negative impact on your employees’ mental health and wellbeing. Regrettably, these challenges are just a few examples of the broader systemic failures in providing timely and effective cancer care.
This webinar will share patient stories and practical approaches that employers can adopt to enhance pre- and post-diagnosis care, support recovery, and improve outcomes for employees. In this webinar, you’ll hear:
  • An overview of the current state of cancer care in the current, fragmented healthcare system
  • Real patient stories that uncover the logistical, financial, and psychological barriers that create hurdles for comprehensive cancer care at every stage of the journey
  • How employers can help deliver supportive, continuous care throughout the cancer journey – providing reassurance to employees, accelerating the time to care, and helping them understand results and quickly hook them into next steps
